Our patients come to us in all sizes, shapes, colors and with varying personalities. This is because no pet is exactly like another; therefore, no care plan will be exactly like another. Our skilled Care Team will ensure your pet receives the best care plan for you and your pet's health needs.
Upon entering our clinic, you will be greeted by the smiling face of a Care Team member who will check in your pet and notify other team members of your pet's arrival. Once checked in, another team member will gather the necessary items needed for your pet's visit.
Once the exam room is ready, a Care Team member will come out to the lobby to greet both you and your pet and take you to the exam room. Once there, the team member will ask a series of questions about your pet's lifestyle, including the kind of food they eat, if your pet is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention and what other illnesses your pet may have had in the past. Once the team member has gathered all necessary preliminary information, he/she will inform the doctor of your questions or concerns and provide the doctor with the information you provided.
At this point, the doctor will perform an exam and based on his findings, will suggest a care plan. This may include diagnostics, medication or other treatment(s) deemed necessary for the health and well being of your pet. The Care Team member will help to answer any questions you have regarding treatment, along with filling medications and, if needed, will begin diagnostic testing. Once your pet's visit is completed, a team member will go over any at-home care instructions with you, answer any additional questions you may have and complete the financial transaction, all while in the privacy of the exam room. Your Care Team member will then walk you and your pet out while ensuring you don't have any last minute questions or concerns.
The visit does not end when you leave the clinic, a Care Team member will follow up with you a few days after your pet's visit to see how he/she is doing since their visit, answer any questions or even ask the doctor new questions for you.
Our goal is to provide your pet with exceptional care to ensure he/she lives a long and healthy life!
We strive to exceed your expectations with each and every St. Cloud Veterinary Center experience.
